Trainee story

Cece has enjoyed being in the kitchen since she was a little kid. Eager to reignite that passion she applied for Sprouts where she was placed at the Nourish Spot BK with Chef Jade.

Cece has thoroughly enjoyed her internship experience, especially getting to try different smoothies and juices served at the store. One of her favorites was an apple juice that tastes just like apple pie. She also loves the camaraderie she had with her manager and coworkers, as they often joke and bond throughout their shifts. Over time, Cece has honed her cutting skills and even embraced the habit of labeling at home, a skill she developed during her internship.Looking ahead, Cece is eager to expand her culinary repertoire to include different cuisines. This internship has deepened her understanding of the restaurant business, fueling her excitement to one day own her own establishment. When she’s not cooking at the restaurant, she’s experimenting in her home kitchen, a passion she inherited from her father. Their favorite dish to make together is chicken and rice.

For Cece, cooking is a form of artistic expression, and this program has given her the confidence to pursue her culinary dreams.Cece joined the program to gain more hands-on cooking experience and has found it both enriching and inspiring. She sees food as a nuanced medium for creativity and is determined to continue evolving her skills.
