After losing her father at age 14, Sabrina struggled with depression. Her mother struggled both emotionally and financially with the loss and had difficulty providing for the family's most basic needs of food and shelter. Sabrina found herself alone, worried about money, and caving under the pressures of school. Now a senior in high school Sabrina, she dreams of a career as a chef. In the kitchen, she is reminded of the hours she spent with her father cooking. By becoming a chef, she hopes to provide for herself and her mother all the while bringing joy to others. After a few years in the industry, her life goal is to own a small restaurant featuring recipes such as her father's favorite Korean dishes.
