Curzavis Bing is a passionate and dedicated individual with a strong desire to pursue a career in the culinary arts. Hailing from Florida, he brings a deep-rooted love for Southern cuisine, particularly soul food and barbecue. His passion for cooking is fueled by the joy of creating delicious food and sharing it with others. His culinary journey began in chain restaurants, where he gained valuable experience in fast-paced kitchen environments. Driven by a dream of opening his own restaurant, Curzavis is eager to learn new techniques and expand his culinary repertoire with chef Yajaira Springer. 

Curzavis is a quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Through PJ’s On the Bay, he has honed his skills in knife work, food preparation, and plating. He has also had the opportunity to explore different cuisines, including Caribbean, and has been inspired by the creative process involved in cooking. He is particularly proud of his ability to take charge and step up when needed, as demonstrated when he took the initiative to clean dishes when no one else volunteered.  As he continues to develop his skills, he hopes to one day share his passion for food with the world. Curzavis is grateful for the opportunity to learn from experienced chefs and is excited about the future of his culinary journey.

Outside of the kitchen, Curzavis enjoys playing football and music, with a particular love for the running back position in his recreational league. His internship has not only strengthened his culinary skills but also reaffirmed his goal to one day open a restaurant. Curzavis is excited about the future and is committed to further developing his culinary abilities, with a focus on versatility and creativity in his cooking.
